He gets into a battle with Freddie, revealing to the ranger that he comes from an ancient bloodline known as the Otomi, and Freddie manages to pin him down. In La Conquista, he discusses Richie's condition with Santanico and she tells him that things are going the way they should, which he complies to. He then brings Narciso to a dungeon, chaining him up and remarks that he's the master now. As Narciso insults the culebras that are below them, Carlos and Santanico tell him they will no longer be slaves, and the two begin killing counselors as it's revealed they poisoned their drinks. They join the consiglieres downstairs and he listens as Narciso tells a story about Carlos leading the brothers and the ranger to the bar, with possible threat of exposure. He tells her that she's his world and she tells him no more mistakes, and he mentions the consiglieres are waiting. While Santanico recovers from being shot, she is angry that he said the ranger was dead, but he showed up at the bar and caused havoc. In Pandemonium, as the feeding frenzy rages on, he leads Narciso and the other consiglieres to a feast elsewhere in the bar. At the end, he introduces Santanico to the crowd and Richie reveals Carlos gave the knife to him. He allows his men, Ulises and Ramon, to torture Freddie and kill him as he has to leave for the Twister. In Place of Dead Roads, he has Freddie captured and talks to him about his wife, daughter and sees that Freddie has the knife. Carlos and his men later begin a shootout with the officers at the border station as a way of distraction. He also runs across Scott and sees the darkness in the boy, telling him that he's glad he's not the lacrosse team. While at the border station, he takes a disguise and then drains Avalino Torres' of blood, temporarily taking his form in order to help the Gecko brothers cross the border. In Self Contained, he calls Seth to inform him on how angry he is about the mishaps the brothers have caused in the public's eye and warns them that rangers are like dogs. He delivers the cargo, a group of women, to Narciso and the consiglieres, who all proceed to feed on them. He is interrupted by Seth calling him and proceeds to feed on the other man, tying him up. In Mistress, he talks to two men that are delivering cargo and while he gets threatened, Carlos doesn't budge and tells the two that they will bring the cargo for free, and begins feeding on one of the men. After a brief scuffle and the Fullers leave, he tells the withered corpse of Kyle he did good and drives off. He heads to the location where Kate, but fails in taking her with him, instead he reveals to the Fuller siblings that Jacob left congregation as he lost his path. He tells Kyle every soul has a certain flavor and shows his fangs, biting and draining Kyle of blood, then he takes his appearance. In Blood Runs Thick, he is picked up by Kyle Winthrop and they begin discussing about various subjects, especially souls and religions. In Pilot, he is responsible for making the plans for the Geckos and while he tells Seth he can't get a ride for them, he should trust his brother, Richie, instead.

The property also has a small spa and a modern fitness center. For quick snacks and drinks, the hotel also has a coffee shop/ice cream parlor. Rooms service is also on hand. The food at the Royal Ocean Terrace isn’t anything remarkable, and it’s overpriced for the quality offered, so guests are probably better off heading elsewhere for memorable dining. However, the humdrum decor doesn’t seem to stop people from hanging out around the bar, which airs mainland sporting events and offers solid happy-hour specials. The restaurant is large, has its own bar, and a beautiful outdoor terrace, but it could benefit from a few upgrades - the interior’s rattan-paneled walls and tiki heads are a little tacky. In terms of dining, the Royal Lahaina’s only restaurant, the Royal Ocean Terrace, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. Between the two pools there are two hot tubs and a shuffleboard court. It’s somewhat smaller than the main pool, but draws crowds thanks to its adjacent pool bar. The cottage pool is located in front of the resort’s cottages. The main pool is usually crowded with families and couples, and has an upbeat (though not rowdy) atmosphere throughout the day. The main pool is located in front of the hotel’s restaurant, and serves as a property hub. Neither is jaw-droppingly spectacular, but both draw large crowds throughout the day. The Royal Lahaina has two oceanfront pools. Like all beaches in Hawaii, Kaanapali is open to the public, so guests will see a mix of tourists and locals. Kaanapali Beach has a reputation for being narrow in some areas, but the Royal Lahaina has an excellent location in front of a particularly wide part of the beach. Kaanapali Beach is known for its soft sand, calm blue water, and stunning views of neighboring islands Molokai and Lanai. Kaanapali Beach, one of Maui’s most famous stretches of sand, is located directly in front of the hotel. The luau takes place nightly, but advanced reservations are strongly recommended. With capacity for up to 500, the Myths of Maui is a grand show, with a buffet dinner and traditional dances from Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, and New Zealand. The luau is one of the best and longest running on the island. The hotel’s most noteworthy amenity is its on-site luau, the Myths of Maui. The Royal Lahaina has tons of on-site features, and unlike many of its neighbors, it doesn’t charge a resort fee. Bathrooms, however, are slightly dated, and disappointing for a villa in this price range. It features sleek, modern decor and has a full kitchen, separate living space, two bedrooms and bathrooms, and a private backyard with a plunge pool and direct beach access. The Royal Beach House is the hotel’s premier suite. Oddly, the hotel’s two-bedroom beach cottage doesn’t have a full kitchen, but its decor is more upscale. In our opinion, the cottages aren’t as nicely decorated as the tower rooms (they’re a bit generic), but they’re a more economical option for travelers who plan to cook most of their meals. The cottages range from standard hotel-style rooms to larger units with full kitchens. Next to the Lahaina Kai Tower there are several two-story buildings known as cottages. All do have outdoor balconies, many with partial or full ocean views. Guests should note that most tower rooms do not have bathtubs. Bathrooms are tight on space, but feature honed-marble counters, glass-enclosed shower stalls, and locally made toiletries. Beds are dressed with white linens, but hibiscus-print pillows and bed runners add personality. Decor can be described as "Hawaiian traditional," with carved dark wood furniture, plantation-style sliding doors, and black-and-white photographs of outrigger canoes. Though the tower was built in the 1960s, rooms have been nicely refreshed, and feature decent amenities, like flat-screen TVs, coffeemakers, mini-fridges, and electronic safes. The Lahaina Kai Tower is the resort’s main tower, and houses the majority of its rooms. During our visit, we watched plenty of guests check-in and disappointedly discover that the rooms they booked were actually located at the Kaanapali Ocean Inn. Guests who stay at the Kaanapali Ocean Inn are entitled to all of the amenities and services at the Royal Lahaina, but rooms here are smaller and not as nice as Tower Rooms or Cottages. Though it isn’t clearly advertised on the Royal Lahaina’s website, the hotel’s cheapest, entry-level rooms are located at the Kaanapali Ocean Inn - a budget hotel that shares the Royal Lahaina’s property. There are a multitude of room types at the Royal Lahaina, but there are three major distinctions - Kaanapali Ocean Inn Rooms, Tower Rooms, and Cottages. Players develop, teams change, and every time something new happens, the data you’ve previously reviewed runs the risk of becoming outdated. If you configure this part of the report to your own specific needs, you’ll find it serves you a lot better. Ensure it’s based off your primary tactic and defined roles, displays the most pertinent ratings to you (whether that be Current Ability, Best XI, etc.), and ensure the filters are set to include or exclude players in your youth teams and/or out on loan. Tailor the Squad Depth view to your own circumstances. Star, Excellent, Superb, Very Good, Good, Fairly Good, Decent, Useful, Low, Unsuitable The words used in each item are also instructive of what, if any, action you should take next the scale representing the level of talent being described leaves you more informed about just how much improvement can be made: The Overview screen is by far the best place to start as it distils everything into a succinct Strength or Weakness. With such a wealth of information at your disposal, it might be easy to feel overwhelmed, and to not know how best to identify the real strengths and weaknesses of your squad. How can I make best use of the information available to me? The ‘General’ tab takes miscellaneous information such as height and weight, whereas the positional breakdowns take an average of particular attributes to show strengths and weaknesses in your squad. This section takes a number of statistics from your squad and compares them across the rest of the league to see how your charges compare. This section presents a breakdown of statistical leaders in your team – such as the youngest and oldest players – and compares them to the leaders within your league. This section presents a breakdown of team statistics across a wide range of areas and also highlights the best and worst performers accordingly. To change the member of staff who compiles this part of the report, navigate to the ‘Opinion of:’ drop-down menu and select accordingly from the list of available staff. The ‘Customisations’ toggle allows you to manually remove players from a position (if you would rather not consider a player in a given area of the team, for example) while the ‘Roles’ menu has four different options for the information being presented to you. The ‘Filters’ button allows you to streamline or increase the number of players who appear in these lists (for example, you can include youth and reserve team players). Should you not already be scouting, a handily-placed button exists at the top right of this pop-up dialog to enable you to do just that. Each position has a hierarchy of capability and suitability as well as any information regarding players you are currently scouting to play there for ease of comparison. Scroll up and down the page to view the full length of the pitch and the depth available in every position.Ĭlick on the numbered person icon to the top right of each positional box to bring up a dialog presenting the information in more detail. Your squad is broken down by formation and position, with each position box then displaying every player who can feature there, plus their competency in the form of a star rating. The ‘Best XI’ is shown, with a link through to their Strengths and Weaknesses, while a summary of the Analyst Report provides feedback on General Performance, Scoring, Conceding, and Formations Used and Faced. The Overview screen presents an immediate and detailed look at the team. It is broken down into a number of sections, with an Overview panel bringing together the most important statistics in one place. It is a comprehensive breakdown of your squad from top to bottom, with your backroom staff presenting you with all the information you will need to know to prepare and build a successful team. The Team Report is the best way to take both an at-a-glance look and a detailed study of the players available to you. It’s therefore worth familiarising yourself with this particular screen, and the screens associated with it. You’ll spend much of your time poring over the Squad screen as you look to develop and mould a group of individual players into a finely-tuned machine capable of success.
